    mini sporran coin purse

140921_001.jpgA sporran to go inside my sporran! I made it with the same matching leather as the flap of my rob roy sporran. It is about 2 in x 1.75 closed. I put a brooks brothers button on it so there you have it, the first brooks brothers sporran! Ha ha

Well done! I might have to make something like that.. I hate loose change adding jingle to the drum of the tassels, a friend has a mini sporran to hold a flask.

It keeps keeps the coins corraled for sure. I think on my next sporran I make for myself I will put a built in coin pocket in it. I think I am the one of 2-3 men I have seen using a coin purse, I wonder how many of the British residents on this forum have a coin purse in their sporran. A lot of europeans use coin purses due to the unavailability of certain paper currency denominations. Another interesting note is that in Britain a purse is usually (or at least used to) refer to a mens coin purse, not a ladies shoulder/hand bag.

I picked up this coin case at a leather shop in Nuremburg, Germany on a business trip. It is part of my Every Day Carry whether I have a sporran or not. I would love to see one that functioned like this one, but looked like the small sporran!

I was planning on making one like that soon but I don't know how I would make it look like a sporran.

I use one of these also Chuck, saves digging to the bottom of the sporran when you need change. I usually have a couple of small notes in it too. Cheers

I picked up a baby sporran from The Celtic Croft. I use that for coins and similar small items. So I do carry a sporran in my sporran.

The top sporran flap would probably need to be a faux flap. It would need to open from the bottom of the coin sporran instead of at the flap.
