My first try at a Rob Roy Sporran

After seeing everyone else making their own sporrans and showing pics I decided to finally put pics of mine up.









It is a bit larger than my store bought sporran, I like to have some room to carry things. I am working on making a rabbit fur bodied Rob Roy style with holders for a pen/pencil, mini maglite and maybe a multi-tool. I'll post pics when I get it all sorted out.

The stitching looks great. Did you use a machine or did you hand-stitch it?

Great Job !! It is all ways alot funner to make your own sporran's , and it becomes adicting.
Just all ways make them the way you want them and have fun with it.

I hand stitched it. I use an overstitching wheel to lay out the stitch spacing and use a saddle stitch for strength.
