Talking My Kilt - Completly done by me and my grandmother

Here is a photo of me in my kilt. Completly done by me and my grandmother.

The material is a thinner but tartan wool material. The tartan is a generic one that I found at a material store for cheap. (I cannot afford the 65.00$ US a yard Cochrane clan tartan of my family yet) I sewed the sporran and the Plaid Fly, and my grandmother did most of the work - the Kilt itself. Its bordered at the top with a black end border work. pleated all around the back like a normal kilt. This is a 4 yard casual kilt. - I am a small person and 5 yards was just too big on me. She finished off my sporran with the machine as well as the kilt. I finished the kilt by making the ties for the closing of the kilt when wearing. And I used a black long shoe strings for the strap for the black matching sporran. Turned out pretty well.

    Thumbs up Terrific!

Awesome job, Joshua! Looks terrific. I love the matching shoulder plaid.
It turned out well indeed. You are very blessed to have a grandmother to help out with the kilt-making.
