New bag for cantle

Finally built a simple leather bag for my brass cantle.

Fantastic work as usual, Isaac! Have you considered staining it a darker shade?

I would choose not to stain it, but would sure want it to weather and age like the blonde (natural) leathers I have (biker vest and chaps). As a History teacher, I expect you appreciate when there is a better story as an item shows the wear and tear of experience. For example, I expect Rob Roy's sporran had a crisp blondish hue when new.

I like the color choice. The red goes nicely with the bag.

Thanks for the kind words everyone! The photo is a bit washed out, so the leather is a tad bit darker than shown here. I think it will contrast nicely with the dark of my kilts. Most of my other sporrans are rather dark, so this may be a nice change!
