    Prize Winning Kilt!

I was very excited to find out today that my handwoven, hand-sewn Scottish Wildcat kilt took Best In Show at the Alaska State Fair!

A friend sent me this photo along with his congratulations today. I have not been out to the fair yet, so I had no idea. I was just hoping it would place.

I will have to get out to the fair, now.

What a wonderful surprise for you. The kilt is dynamic indeed, and the officials of Alaska have stamped their approval also. Good for you.

Well done, Truitt. Either half of this project is worthy of an award: either weaving the material or kilting the fabric. But to have gone from the backside of one animal (the sheep) to the backside of another (yours) is a huge accomplishment.
