Sanqhuar Hose and County Laois Kilts
Here we are this past weekend at the Tacoma Clan Gordon Tartan Ball. USA Kilts made his kilt and my skirt. I made the cape, the Balmoral bonnet, and the Sanquhar kilt hose. I did not use a pattern for the socks, I made it up as I went along. The cape is McCall's 5764. I used a Pendleton Bemberg rayon coat lining and Norwegian pewter clasps.

If anyone wanted to make a statement, they only need to follow your lead. Fabulous showing.

I don't log in much, but those hose warrant great praise! They're glorious! Please tell us the yarn & needle size.
That cape is a thing of beauty, too. Can you show us a picture of the lining & clasp?

Pictures will have to wait until I get home. Yarn was from Hazelknits in Seattle, luxury superwash sock yarn in lichen (yellow) and penny loafer (red). Needle was an 2.75 mm or American #2. When I am doing stranded colorwork, I prefer a slightly larger needle than for plain knitting.
I made extensive notes on Ravelry.com, where my user name is also Room2ndfloor.
