Shepherd's Plaid Kilt Hose
The Winter Olympics combined with all the snow we've had lately have been quite conducive to parking myself on the couch and working on this project. I finally finished sock number one using Joannie Newsome's free pattern - it only took me nine months! (In reality, probably closer to one month; I started it last May and didn't pick it up until last month.) So far, so good! I'll probably cast on sock number two later tonight and try and maintain the momentum.

Joannies's pattern is easy to follow and produces a fine sock, as we can see. Congratulations on a job well done. Now you need to find a Mac Gregor in need of a pair of hose.

Very nice job. The bold colours should go well with other things you've posted. Best wishes for the other sock's progress.

That is great! I lost my needles in the move and have not got back into knitting. I was never very good to begin with, yet would love to knit my own hose... Nothing terribly complex, but in precisely the colours I desire and with some cabling

Very nice. If my wife didn't knit so well... I would totally try learning myself!! I love my pair of checked hose she made using this pattern. Yours looks fab!
