My wife just finished this work of art - her second (and last) kilt. She has made me a Smith Modern (13oz) and now this one, the weathered (16oz). Having watched the process I can say I appreciate the effort (focus, skill and love) that goes into the handmade kilt. This one had to be hand (traditionally) hand-stitched because of the fabric weight. An immense thanks and love to you, Jeanette. It was made for out 40th wedding anniversary, which will be at Dornoch Cathedral (home of one of my ancestors) in 2020. In between, we have a few activities here in Perth, Australia, where it can be worn-in. Kilt 2.jpg Kilt 1.jpg

Beautiful job on the construction and a lovely kilt as the result. My admiration to you both for your upcoming anniversary. Thanks for sharing this with us.

What a wonderful gesture, wear it well. Please post photos of it being worn when you can.

I've never made a kilt, but it looks like she did a great job on that one! Pre-congratulations on your upcoming 40th anniversary. Sounds like you have a keeper of a wife there, if you hadn't already come to that conclusion.
Many congratulations, on both your anniversary and on receiving such a wonderful Cilt. Beautifully made.
