    Tartan Waistcoat!

I finally finished my tartan waistcoat. After a few issues and a bit more time than I had planned... It is done. It started with a fly plaid that I got from USA kilts because it was a heck of a deal. That fly plaid became a sash for my wife and there was enough to make a waistcoat. I wanted lapels, but there was not enough to do those and match them up. It is Campbell Ancient from House of Edgar and has fabric covered buttons. I then tried it out with a more black tie look, but with that navy Barathea jacket for something different.

Nicely done and a much more useful piece of kit than the plaid!

Beautiful job matching the tartan on the bias and across the front, especially with an "ABAC" tartan like Campbell. I remember how tricky it was when I made my Murray of Atholl waistcoat!

I like that combo of coat and vest. It's like a flash of pleats with more pizazz.
