    Not a bad conversion. Are the pocket flaps in their normal position? If not, you could consider removing them and sewing them higher, but not past the the original opening (see images below).

    I have considered moving the pocket flaps. It's a dead giveaway to the conversion. I don't know if I'll get to it or not before I get distracted by another project, likely a more traditional tartan kilt.
