    Exclamation A trade?

I have about 10 yards of Double width Tartan 100% wool (called Davinci code tartan?) it is Blue an purple with gold, white, red and green stripes and about the same amount of Marpat digi camo. I want a kilt but don't have the time to make one. If one of you industrious DIY's would like to make one out of the Tartan you can have the remaining tartan. PM if interested and for pics.

    Sliante!

All thanks but I have made a trade

That's one hell of an offer. I know that you'll find someone here soon that'll accept for sure. I would but I have only made 3 kilts so far, and I would not feel comfortable enough making one for someone else. I would suggest if you have a non-professional take you up on the offer, you should see if they own Barb T's book first. That way you'll know you'll get a quality product.

    Good luck!

Man that's tempting but I've only made one Kilt and I'm not entirely sure you'd make that deal with me...lol.

For a deal like that I would make you a Kilt. Even trade. The Kilt for the remainder of the fabric.

Give me a call and we can talk about what you would like.

When you find someone to make your Kilt please remember to tell them that the Tartan is Asymmetrically. You will need to split the fabric in half and use one long piece for the Kilt.

Hey if any one else wants to do this trade I'll bow out. I just happen to thing that Tartan would be interesting to work with. The Gold line is offset in the blue field and it should present a challenge to pleat.
But I have to admit that although the Tartan is nice it has never been at the top of my wish list because of the hokum surrounding it.
