Tweed scraps and rainy day fun

Having a wonderful rainy day outside which gives me the incentive to be indoors sewing. Granted I need to spend the time on my kilt jacket but today I felt like replacing my old phone carrier. Ive used a nice simple nylon pouch I purchased at one of the box electronic store for a few years. I wanted something new and of course, different. Decided some scrap 1956 era tweed and some wine colored worsted wool would do the trick. A cut here, stitch there and here are the results. Now my phone will be a bit more smartly dressed in its new home.

Even matches my tweed bonnet I made this past winter...

Very creative! I was eying a few nice (big!) tweed jackets at the thrift store for some projects.

The phone pocket case is a great idea! Really like the one you made.

I have plenty left over tweed recovered from a resale shop jacket. My tweed sporran didn't need much. I don't think I have enough for a bonnet :-(

Did you buy a pattern for the bonnet or make it without one?
