X-Kilt Excel Spreadsheet
Here is a link to the spreadsheet Mipi made to figure the number and width of pleats to make an X-Kilt.

Also posted in the now sticky'd X-Kilt, Sew Your Own thread on page 17 or so.
Just wanted to make sure people knew it was available.
Good job Mipi.
And 12Stones re-did it in inches for us.

Sorry for the delay, I was busy when i got it and then forgot to post it.

That is really useful. Thanks a lot.
I have always tempered my killing with respect for the game pursued. I see the animal not only as a target but as a living creature with more freedom than I will ever have. I take that life if I can, with regret as well as joy, and with the sure knowledge that nature's ways of fang and claw or exposure and starvation are a far crueler fate than I bestow. - Fred Bear

That's a very handy tool, but Mipi's avatar is the coolest. Looks like it's constructed with Fibonacci numbers.

Two thumbs up for Mipi's spreadsheet. I ran it on a couple of different waist/hip sizes, and thought it was quite helpful.

Glad to see the thing is useful. I was thinking of making something similar for "clacsical" kilt, but the things are more complicated due to tartan pattern. It would be possible for patternless fabic, or I should have much more knowladge on pleating tartan, maybe.
Regading avatar, it represent a modern design of jing&jang symbol.
Regards to all!

Anyone able to convert this?
OK, I have received a couple PM's asking me to convert this to inches.
I didn't make this thing, Mipi did.
I just hosted and posted it.
I am not very good with excel.
Is there anyone out there that can convert Mipi's fine work over to inches for us?
If anyone is able to do so, send me a PM, I will send you my email addy and you can send it to me and I will post it as well.

unprotect the spreadsheet under the tools menu
select a free column. reference the column and insert a formula for example =b2/2.54 for waist
=b3/2.54 for hip.
there are 2.54cm in an inch or you can do the reverse .... multiple the inch measurement by 2.54 to get the centimeters
