Yarn to Garment - Third Kilt
This is my third kilt I've done. I used handwoven tartan cloth (same cloth from my previous mini-kilt post) in Midnight Sunrise - pleated this time to the purple stripe. I guess practice makes perfect, as this is by far the best I've done...especially with the fit. I followed traditional methods; however, I opted for no rise.

Thanks! It took several months to finish weaving the cloth and make the two kilts...but well worth the time.

I like that you have a block (sett square) in the middle of the apron. I've seen many kilts (my two included) that have a stripe centered on the apron. The colors frame out the front and (to my eye) enhance the stripe of the pleats. Good looking and fine job.

Thank you! I actually didn’t plan on the orange stripes framing out the apron. I knew I wanted the purple stripe as my center stripe on the front apron and it just ended up that the orange stripes fell in line with my legs.

Nothing I can say except that your work is excellent. And I love the colors.
Great job!
