Glitch on the new deal
Just sayin'
Both on my computer at work and my computer at home when I post on the quick reply and then hit the submit button I get a pop up asking me if I want to stay on the page or leave the page. That's scary so I haven't left the page I've stayed on the page.
To make the post I've copied my quick reply post then hit the standard reply button. I get the same pop up, but when I risk hitting leave the page it does go to the standard reply window, where I am able to paste the message and when I submit from the standard reply window the message does post.
Guessing there's a glitch in the quick reply system...unless I'm for some reason supposed to respond to the first pop up with leave the page....never seen it before the new upgrade though.
Hope this helps - or educate me if I'm stupid.
Thanks

Don't know about that one Ron, I just used the quick reply to post this and did not get what you describe.

Just sayin'.... it's happenin' thought it might be helpful to pass on.
Work is wireless and Navajo Nation. Home is cable.
Guess if there are more than me someone'll say something.
Update: Okay it didn't do it this time on the quick reply but was doing it this afternoon at work and this evening at home. Go figure....

Ron, are you holding your tongue right?
Forums are like carpentry. If you hold your tongue out the left side you will hit your thumb every time.

I'm only getting that message if I try to close or move away from a page after entering text in the edit field, and never just by posting.
Question:
Is the notification of how many posts I have made in a thread on the "what's new" search no longer there, or am I just not finding it?
It used to list how many posts I had made, if any, in each thread on the searches. * I think it was by each thread title.
Just wondering.

"Inconceivable...."
You keep using that word. I don't think it means what you think it means vizzini.

Bugbear,
The thing that says how many posts you have made to a thread is still there. It is imbedded in the icon to the left of the thread title. It will not show you your posts if you are the OP of the thread. In this version of vB there is a new icon that shows you have made a post to a thread. If you are still using your page reader it may not recognize the new icon but it is there.

Ok, thanks. It's my screen reader issue.

Well dang, the "do you want to leave this page pop up is back. on the quick reply...but I just clicked to leave the page and the quick reply posted.
Go figure?
Okay, its a Windows pop up and it says changes made in the editor will be lost (?) but nothing is lost...
Okay, when I posted the edit it went straight through with no pop up.....
