Quotation emails.

I would prefer not to get emails telling me that someone has quoted me in such and such a thread, is it possible to disconnect from that state of affairs? Advice in words of one syllable please as I am a complete technodunce. Perhaps, maybe, some technowiz could do it for me? Thank you.

^{You should be able to adjust your email settings Jock. First, click on the User CP link in the menu bar at the top of the forum. See it in this picture:}

The click on General Settings on the left side:

In the center of the screen you will then be able to adjust your email settings.

Gosh thank you. Will I still get PM notifications, if I do what you suggest?

I have just checked your profile settings and yes, you will still get an email and see the pop-up notifications about new PM's when you log on. But you will not get any notifications via email of new posts to threads or quotes to threads that you have started or posted to. This is called subscriptions and you have those turned off.

Thank you Steve for taking a look. Actually I have not turned anything on or off since asking the question today, although on the advice given today,I have looked at the page, but was unsure which bit does what, so I left it as it was and to be honest I don't really remember doing so in the past ever, but perhaps I must have? I still get emails informing me that I have been quoted though, hence my wish to avoid that circumstance.
