    Dunsmuir

It went well. I set two new PR's in stones, and I'm getting closer and closer to 30 feet in the Open Stone. That's a big goal for me, now. I basically suck at stones, so even though that' snot a big number, it's been a stubborn one to get past.

I had my second biggest heavy hammer toss, ever...loved that.

And turned a respectable 17 foot, 85 pound caber on the third try. I actually got a 12:05 on that.

..all of which made up for absolutely stinking up the weights for distance, something awful.

Congrats on the PR's, Alan! I am thinking of giving it go in Kelso in September, if I can get in some practice with James and John. Hope to see you in Enumclaw.

At least you are moving in the right direction with the stones. I guess the stones clinic paid off. Way to go on your HW hammer. Did you use your hammer boots? Looks like you had a good group there. So whats next, the "claw"?

Congrats Alan! Keep pushing those stones. Great job on the caber. I too had a new PR on the heavy hammer....don't you just love throwing up hill?!

The games aren't the same now that we throw on opposite days.

Way to go Alan! The stones are one of the toughest areas to improve. No matter how much you focus they never seem to come up. I get excited everytime I add a couple inches! And heavy hammer, my nemesis! Don't forget to practice without blades for the "Claw"! See you then.

    Jerry,

Practice Wednesday is on. Same place and time. Gonna make it to Portland this weekend or Enumclaw next weekend? Let me know.

    James,

The plan is to attend both, Portland since it is local and the 'Claw since that is the big one!
