Heavy Athletes Wanted

With just over a week to go till the games we only have three confirmed entrants for our heavy athletics competition at Hawick Highland Games on Sunday 19th June.
Usually we receive more entries than we are able to accept but this year for a variety of reasons, athletes injured, other games on the same weekend, etc, the referee who organises our contest has so far only received 3 entries for this year's events.
There are prizes on offer for the first six overall of £175, £150, £125, £100, £75 and £50.

We now have four entrants:
Daniel Carlin (Barrhead, Scotland) - current Scottish & English under-23 Shot Putt champion and represented Scotland at the Commonwealth Youth Games.
Kyle Randalls (Grangemouth, Scotland) - current Scottish Junior Champion.
David Dowson, (Middlesbrough, England), one of England's top highland athletes.
Mark MacDonald (Dumfries, Scotland) - former champion, Scots Hammer.
Should be a good contest.

We now have a full quota of seven entrants for the men's heavies and are unable to accept any further entries.
