Kerrrrraaaaaaaap!
UGH!
So the 'bum shoulder' I've been nursing this year (and that keeps getting worse for some reason) turns out to be a shoulder separation and strained bicept ligament! No WONDER WOB seemed to sting a bit!
I'm having to miss a games I REALLY wanted to be at--oh well--take the time, continue the PT and live to fight another day. I hope to be in good enough shape to finish out the year in my last games in October.
All in all--I've had a BLAST this year!

Bummer dude! But you got it right, PT now- play later. The games will be here when your shoulder is ready.

Hey you are not alone man. My bench used to be around 455, worked regular sets with 120's on an inlcline and screwed myself good. Can't get anywhere near my max anymore. I am just thankful I can play my pipes. warming that joint up with surgical tubing helped alot, but it has never been the same. Stay the hell away from surgery if you can!
Get well!

We say you don't COMPETE at the Games....you SURVIVE them.
But nobody talks about the Whole Bleedin' Season!
Take care of it, mate...

Ha! Whole bleedin' season is right! I kept thinking, what IS this? It'll get better LOL! Doc said, "Next time you feel something sting a bit, DROP the TREE, pack the wounded part in ice and bring it to me" LOL!
He did give me good advice--even though I didn't want to hear it. NO weight training and limit my throwing training until it heals up.
He also made sure I had motrin, ice packs and bio freeze. He then said to me before I left, "so how EARLY do you START drinking at these games...you may want to get a jump on it"
Good doc--I think I'll keep him ;-)

I like this guy... ... I htink you should get him started, throwing. We NEED people with this sort of sense of humor.
