    Master's World Championships

    Bucket List:

    Master's World Championships.............CHECK!

No fouls, nothing popped, tore or broken, 2 PR's and a GREAT experience. Its what I worked those 2 years in knee rehab for!!!!!!

Old Dude, I heard you behind us when we were at the hammers. Hope you had a good one too.

Pictures to follow as soon as I can get to it.

So you were in Denver, and you didn't bother to stop and say hello to me? My feelings are hurt!

Glad to hear that you made it through without any new injuries.

Hmmmm..... AND you didn't stop at the MacLea (Livingstone) booth. We had two of the Masters come over, Chuck Livingston and Bob (whose last name I don't know) They managed to get some "pain medicine" while they were there.

Yeah, that pain medicine was mighty effective! Thanks for sharing it with me, too!

Ahhhh!!! I wondered where Chuck and Bob had run off too!!! I went through the clan area once but I only a few minutes. Got sidelined and had to head back to the field. From what I saw, you guys did a great job on the clan tents.

Pete, you should have come over and introduced yourself. I'd kept my eye out for you but didn't see anyone with a gimpy pin or obviously braced. You must have been feeling better or just grinning and bearing it. Good on ya, either way.

I won the Heavy Hammer and fouled the winning Light Hammer throw when both spikes busted through the sod...couldn't stay in the box but whatcha gonna do? If you don't foul occasionally, you're just not trying hard enough, right? The judge insisted on measuring the throw anyway because it was w-a-y out in right field. Thanks...NOT!

Overall, I had five golds and four silvers which was enough to give the win in the overall so I'm the new World Champ in the 60-64 class. I'm happy.

Good triple extension and long pull!

Funny thing is that I threw on that same WOB standard and our popup tent is just out of the picture to the left. We were set up just on the other side of the caber rack.

Took no pictures myself so I'd be glad to see what you got with your camera.

I saw that throw. I'm with the Renaissance Scots. You most likely saw us- your throw nearly went into our fight ring! I watched it flying threw the air and thought one of us was going to get hit!

My group was set up at the west end of the athletics field, right next to the piper's tents. I'm interested to see what we look like, from an outside perspective.
