    Nothing like consistancy

    Ben Lomond...*sigh*

Set a new PR in the light hammer (83 feet and change)
Set a new PR in the open stone (28' 4")
Equalled my PR in the light WFD (40' 3")

....but couldn't clear 12 feet in WOB. Me mate Jim said that my last two heaves were easily 2 feet higher than the bar, but the competition is weight OVER the bar. Throwing the thing straight up in the air, or smacking it into the bar on the way up doesn't count. I"ve got 14 feet in there, I know it, but I gotta heave it RIGHT.

I hope I redeem myself at Seaside on Saturday.....gotta run. I've been gone all week and only have one night at home before I jump in the car and haul down to Ventura.

    Alan,
WOB is my favorite event--not my best ;-) As the bar gets higher I tend to throw straight up too. Was in a Pro-Am last weekend--had a pro tell me to back up closer to the bar and let the weight swing its;ef back--and not hit my pull until it was 3/4 the way through.

We were thowing the 56 and I'm a Master Lightweight, so the technique tips saved my bacon.

Alan. It looks like you are really making good progress with everything else so I'm confident you'll lick your problems with the OVER the bar issue.
You've come on leaps and bounds since you started!
