    p90x

So, I'm curious to know if anyone here has heard of, does, or did, the p90x program? I've been doing it off and on for a couple years now, but lately I've been really sticking with it. It's quite an amazing work out. I feel like the plyometrics routines would be very beneficial to the events of the highland games.

    Thoughts?

From what I understand its pretty much like Crossfit (which i have done) its just a more commercial version. If you want to try something a bit different, check out www.crossfit.com

You are correct in saying that plyometrics is beneficial to highland games, in fact there is a thread about it here: http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/o...053/index.html

we use it at the fire station, my Capt. (58 y.o.)has been at it faithfully for 2 go arounds
(doing the complete 90 day workout) and honestly is in better shape than us young guys! (he does the plyometrics with a 45lb weight vest......crazy bastard )
as soon as I get the things I need to do it, I will be doing it more than 10 days a month, and would recommend it to anyone.

My ex-wife just got it in the mail this week. I think you should check out on You Tube Body Rock.com instead, it will be motivation enough to get yourself to the gym and pump the weights.
