There's a new pub in our neighborhood and I think we need to encourage their business, so I'm declaring a Kilted Pub Night. The place is called the Freewheel Brewing Company http://www.freewheelbrewing.com/ It's very easy to get to.... Take Highway 101 towards Menlo Park/Redwood City take the Marsh Road exit, towards the Peninsula (not towards the Bay) Go about 3/8ths of a mile to Florence St. It's the first stoplight you'll hit on Marsh Rd. Turn right, then make a quick left into the shopping center where the pub is located. Date and time? SATURDAY JULY 13th.... and the Luminous Joan will be in attendance, probably walking without a cane, even, by then! I'm gonna get there about 6:00 PM, and I jut invited a mess of athletes, as well. Would someone pass this on to the NorCal Rabble FB group? I've deactivated my FB acccount for a months break, and I'm only two weeks into it.

My prettier half and I stopped by there when they first opened up. It's got a really nice atmosphere, the pub food was good, and the beers were perfectly drinkable and brewed in house. A splendid choice, Alan. We live right near downtown RWC and will be there with bells on. See you then!

I just dropped by the place yesterday with the Luminous Joan, and had a pint. It's nice...not fancy in the slightest but the beer was good and the burger was just fine. There's also space on the patio that they share with the taco joint two doors down. --- should be nice! BTW, I told them we were coming and to expect somewhere between a dozen and twenty. Kids are welcome.
