Anyone ever go to Celtic Corner?
They're on Old State Route 74.

They seem pricey. Anyone been to their store?

Yes, I have.
They have a mix of products, none particularly high-end that I could see - the usual assortment of pins, brooches and sgain dubhs, the sporrans I'd say were lesser quality. It looks to me like they serve mostly the pipe band and highland dance markets. Celtic Corner also offers some kilt rental options. Oh, and a bunch of adorable little baby kilts.
I have purchased a few pairs of kilt hose and plain flashes there, and commissioned a kilt from Lenora.
My kilt is a machine stitched black shadow tartan 5-yarder in 13 oz. wool. I think it lacks some of the construction innards that my Tewksbury kilts have, and there is no taper in the aprons, but it was made according to my specs (waist, hips, length, rise, buckles) and appears to be fairly well constructed for what it is. I wear it fairly often now that it is summer, but I doubt I'll wear it much in the winter, save for the milder days.
Despite my kilt not measuring up to the status of "tank" I don't have any qualms about doing business with her, but I would sort of like to buy her a copy of Barb's book. If I recall, Lenora is self-taught, and admitted to me that she learns something new every time she works on a kilt.
Regards,
Rex.

At any moment you must be prepared to give up who you are today for who you could become tomorrow.

I have one of their "Day" kilts. It is a light weight kilt made out of cotton/poly material. I wear it a lot in the summer as it is light weight. Being cotton/poly it does wrinkle so I touch it up with the steamer after each wear.

I love the shop almost as much as their family. The Reid family are GREAT people.
My MacGregor kilt was made by Lenora, Louis's Mom. Best kilt I've ever owned... and I've owned plenty.

I went there to pick up some reeds. After looking around at everything, I bought some hose. Like Rex said, nothing high end. Wouldn't buy a kilt there, but would get some of the accesories: pins, hose, bonnets...

Their hand made kilts as good or better than any other kilt maker for the price.
