Houston, irish stew cook-off & music festival
Coming up this Saturday, February 5th:
The 4th Annual Rory Miggins Memorial Irish Stew Cook-off & Music Festival.
11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Continental Club, 3700 Main St.
Admission is $10, children under 12 free.
Proceeds will benefit the Houston St. Patrick’s Day Parade Commission, the Houston Fire Department Pipe and Drum Band and several other nonprofits.
Entertainment will feature Irish dancers, the Blaggards, The Dead Rabbits, plus more acts. A Guinness beer relay and raffle round out the afternoon.
Cook-off categories include Irish stew, Irish dessert, open Irish dish, chicken, chili and “best booth,” with prizes awarded for each.
