Anyone near Norfolk 9/23 - 9/26?

I'll be in Norfolk, VA for a conference from Wednesday night, 9/23 - Saturday 9/26 and was wondering if there are any XMarkers in the neighborhood. I wouldn't be averse to squeezing in some pub time in and around my conference schedule!

I'm in meetings and seminars all day, usually until dinner time. We're on our own from 6 pm or so for dinner and then there are artist "showcases" from 7:30 on into the evening, although on either Thursday or Friday given I can give the showcases a miss (they can be pretty grim, actually).

I should be able to make Thur or Fri. I'm not sure what bars are in your immediate area, however a short ferry ride across the Elizabeth River will takeyou to Olde Towne, Portsmouth which has a cluster of bars and restaurants a short walk from the landing.

I'd be happy to cross the river and see Olde Towne. I've now got a dinner appt. on Thursday, but nothing after 7-ish and Friday evening currently has nothing on it.
