The Power of the Kilt
I'm kilted today, in a tan 5.11 Tactical Duty Kilt since I'll be working later at Wally World, but in my day job I had to call on a business for an item. One of the office ladies asked me where I was from.
I told her I was from Chesapeake.
But I did understand her inquire and said my family on my Dad's side came to the colonies in the 1700s.
She said her parents were Scottish and she first generation American. So we got talking and another employee who was working with got talking and they are interested in coming to our event. I've now emailed them our flyer.
Kilt On, Mael!

Wish I could be there, but won't be through Virginia until the last week of June on the way to NY! I'm a transplanted Virginian, in Florida with lots of family around the Fredericksburg area. The family has been there since around 1740 and I get to visit every so often. Have a great time at the tavern.

Let me know when you are coming through and I'll buy you a pint or two at PLT.

Sounds like fun! I'll check my work schedule (and with the Mrs.) tomorrow and we may make the trek up from New Kent.
