Join the Fredericksburg Scottish Society as we commemorate William Wallace Day, Friday August 23rd at the Colonial Tavern downtown on Lafayette Street. Happy Hour will be begin at 6 PM with dinner at 7 PM. We will have a wee program and finishing the evening before 9 PM. You are welcome to stay for acoustical entertainment in the main restaurant.
We have reserved the upstairs banquet room. Seating is limited to 35 so you will need to send us your check for your dinner selection(s) to make your reservation. We must receive your check via USPS by Saturday, 8/17th. We need to place the order with the restaurant on Monday, 8/19th.
Cost is $18 per meal which includes an entrée, non alcoholic beverages (soda, tea, coffee), tax and gratuity. The dinner choices are;
Corned Beef and Cabbage – Served with red potatoes.
Shepherds Pie – Ground sirloin with carrots, onions, peas and gravy topped with mashed
potatoes and melted cheese.
Vegetarian Shepherds Pie – Sautéed seasonal vegetables topped with mashed potatoes and melted cheese.
Wild Mushroom Risotto – Sautéed mushrooms, peas and Arborio rice in a light cream sauce.
Fish and Chips – Hand beer battered white fish, served with French fries and tartar sauce.
Stout Burger – Half a pound of ground sirloin marinated in Guinness stout then grilled to medium-well. Served atop a potato pancake with a side of sautéed seasonal vegetables.
All served with Irish soda bread and a small house salad. If you want dessert add $2. There will be a bar in the banquet room.
