Jiffy Jeep! Kingston then Ottawa.
Hey folks,
So my team and I are on the road right now headed to Kingston Ontario. On Friday ( tomorrow, June 3rd 2011 ), we will be performing a show called EME Jeep (Electrical Mechanical Engineers -EME) or more commonly "Jiffy Jeep", located at the Royal Canadian Legion downtown or close to downtown Kingston.
The show consists of the team driving a WW2 Jeep up before the crowd, dismounting and stripping the jeep down, removing the body, engine and tranny, both axles the wheels from the axles etc down to the frame. Then putting it back together and driving it off. All in a matter of around 3 minutes 30 seconds. it has been done in two minutes flat.
I've got my kilt handy and we are planning on going out tonight (Thursday) in Kingston. I'll be kilted up hopefully pics to follow.
On Saturday June 4th we will be in Ottawa on the uplands base to preform about 6 to 8 shows throughout the day at a military appreciation day being held there, in which after I will be getting my kilt on and we'll be hitting a pub.
If you can, I suggest checking out the show. The jeep travels the world with Canadian EME soldiers doing shows. Most notably the Royal Tattoo in Halifax and in Germany.
Have a good one.

I never seen this in person, but I have seen video's on youtube. Very cool to see and having worked on older Jeeps...amazing! They can do the whole show usually faster than I can break the head off a stuck torx bolt.

Look forward to seeing you at the NS Tattoo! We will be there for the Canada Day afternoon performance. Not yet decided whether I will be kilted whilst attending. I think I know what "the rabble" would say ...

Thor271: I second what Kilted Jeeper wrote. That is amazing. Are you one of the guys in the following YouTube video?

Wish I could see the show. It's probably more dramatic watching it live.
My son has a '97 TJ that he turned into a bit of a rock crawler - 10" lift, Dana 60 axles, 37" tires, Atlas 4.3:1 xfer case, etc.
Looking forward to your kilted pics.
I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.
