North Berwick Highland Games will take place on Saturday 10th August, 2013. This is one of Scotland's younger games, having only started in 1996, but has proved to be a successful event as the organisers have a winning formula in a venue just twenty miles or half an hour's train ride from Edinburgh and a date which falls at Edinburgh Festival season and also is one week before the World Pipe Band Championships in Glasgow, so the RSPBA competition at North Berwick is often used as a warm up by overseas bands who plan take part in the big contest the following weekend. I live just a few miles from North Berwick! Unfortunately it's North Berwick, Maine and they're not especially known for their Highland Games Have a great time!
