Balmoral Ribbons
Does anyone remember where we had the thread on ribbons on Balmorals and what to do with them? I love my new bonnet, but the ribbons are driving me nuts and I know we had a thread with some very good suggestions

Done; bow created. I may yet "adjust" it.

A bonnie bonnet, Bill. Could you do me one favour? Lower on the brow and higher at the back. Wear it the same place you wear your fedora.

Nice bonnet, Padre. I remember the thread you are talking about, but I cannot find it either. Some people cut them off, as davidlpope said. You could tie them in a neat bow, and then sew it so you don't have to bother with it again. Some people leave them loose, but the wind can whip them into your face. I keep mine tied in a bow but have not sewn it yet.

Tied into a bow and sewn. Works great.
Studies have shown that women who gain a few pounds live longer than men who mention it.

was it in the thread about "Jocking" your bonnet? One of the more memorable threads in my mind.

I tie mine in a bow to indicate that I am "attached". My wife actually ties them for me. I told her if she ever divorces me, I'm going to untie them, so the ladies at the old folks home will know that I'm "unattached". It works pretty good. We've been married for 45 years.
I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.

No... I found the thread. I'm going to "pinch" the bow a bit more in the middle. Selfies are awful to take; I was concentrating more on not getting the flash reflected than I was on the hat. I'll fix that up too!
Thanks guys!
Bill
