Ceremony at the St. Andrews Monument, Albany (NY) Rural Cemetery this past Sunday
In my front lawn just before heading out. A number of St. Andrews Society members that attended the ceremony had tartan flashes and tartan ties. I need to remember that! (When in Rome...)

I dunno. You look very well put-together. Sometimes the right amount of tartan can go a long way.

Sir, your outfit is fine. Personally, I prefer to limit tartan to the kilt only.
I may not be a native Scot but I take my own Highland dressing cues from the other side of the pond. Your outfit is very nice, I think.

Sometimes, I will wear tartan flashes, but always avoid wearing a tartan tie, as my personal preference. It's my understanding that wearing a different tartan in the same clan can be worn, though. (My earliest McIntyre I have traced to Schenectady and fought with the Albany Militia during the Rev War.)

Frank: I think you look great, as is. I wouldn't worry about more tartan, but if you're inclined, go for it. Personally, I think no additional tartan allows your kilt to stand out as the center of your outfit.
You're getting that THDC (or whatever it is) down pretty good - tattersall, striped tie, 5-button vest, argyll, great-looking kilt, sporran, hose, flashes, brogans ... good show!

I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.
