    Diced Hose

Diced Hose or hose tops. Which chevron goes in front? I've searched the web but have had no clear answer. With Red and Green diced my band wears the Green chevron in front, but I noticed other pictures with red & white diced the front chevron is red. But I was thinking of getting green and blue or blue and white. Is it personal preference or is their a guideline I should follow?

The band specifies, I am certain, because it is a uniform and they want all to look.... ummmm.... uniform;-)

When not in uniform, they are just long diced socks. Wear them however you see fit.

Maybe, I misunderstood, but my socks and hose only go on one way.

Surely the only choice is to buy one type or the other?

Royal Regt of Scotland dress regulations explains both hose tops and diced hose. Includes photos. A useful reference document.

Great link! Thanks, I found another link similar before but did not have the colorful pics to go with it

I just put mine on so my heels fit where they should how the dicing looks is a secondary consideration. I understand wanting to get it right however, I get the impression you may be over thinking the entire thing.

With hose, of course, there's only one option. But with hose tops (which have no feet to them), there may or may not be a seam that dictates the orientation. I'm assuming the OP's question is for these.

The pair of military hose tops I have (red/black dicing) do have a seam in the back, which places a red diamond squarely in front.

Of course, hose tops. I hadn't thought of those. That would make sense.
