Kilted for a BBQ
Me & the wee lass down in MD for a BBQ with a bunch of old alumni from back in '75. The wee lass and I met there and were married in '74. Still kickin.
I would not normally wear a kilt jacket with whatever kind of shirt that is. The wee lass thinks it looks good on me, so I humor her. It got nippy though, so out came the old Harris Tweed!
That is our wee schnoodle (Buckley) on the bottom right of the picture. He's a good fellow!

Frank, I graduated high school in 1974. (a terrible year for American wine) I have to explain that was during the last century to my young friends. Then I add the retort, "With age comes experience, with experience comes style" You fitted out well for a BBQ. Congrats on the longevity with your "wee lass".

Well Tarheel, this was a bunch of reprobates from undergraduate school. Most of us graduated in '75, some '76. And yes, in the last century.
Of course, I provided the single malt. A bottle of 12 year old Dalwhinnie emptied quickly.
The wee lass and I have had a great time, and look forward to as many of the coming 40 years as we can! We have three great sons, a 3 year old grandson, and another on the way. Life is grand.
Cheers!

Thanks! It is a Harris Tweed I had converted by a local seamstress. It gives me something to wear with brown accessories. Normally I would have on shoes that match the belt (home made) and sporran. It was raining that day, so it was my waterproof LL Bean loafers. Otherwise it would have been brown sandals.

Perfectly fine for a barbecue, and all 3 of you look grand!
