    My "newbie self"

Thought I would post a couple of pics of my newbie self. This is about as good as it`s going to get for the time being. I`m a pretty casual guy anyway. I think the size sixteen romeos work alright for casual wear. I`m not planning on wearing the balmoral much. I don`t have any specific questions about what I`ve got going on here, but I would certainly appreciate any comments or critiques.
    Doug

Looks good to me but I would suggest forgoing the balmoral for such a casual outfit. I normally wear my balmoral with a jacket.
I hope you like it here.

    Welcome Doug,

That's a good outfit you have there, and worn very well. I can only see one TINY nit-pick, which is that I'd wear your belt over the 'belt loops', not through them. They should really be called 'sporran loops' if anything

Thank you all for your responses. The balmoral with jacket advice sounds good to me. I`ll try the belt over the belt loops, but I`m a little bit concerned about the belt migrating to the north.

    Thanks again, Doug

Doug: I think your outfit looks great. Love the tartan. One day I hope to have a kilt made from the same. Carry on!

I always thread my belt through the loops, because when my kilt inevitably slips down as a result of moving around, all I have to do is grab the belt and hoist the whole rig up a bit.

I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.

Thanks John, I really like the tartan too, as well as the USAK semi-trad. With no clan affiliation and a limited budget, I was basically choosing from USAK`s PV range. I wanted something with a little history behind it, and I`m very pleased with the result. I like your advice, right now, my waist is about the same as my hips, so using the belt loops seems like a good option to have. I`m hoping to shrink the waist a bit, but, you know, the struggle goes on... Doug
