2.5 Inch Brass Kilt Belt Buckles (Found!)

I hate to start a whole new thread for this, but all the others I've found here are old enough to be closed already, so I can't add this into those conversations.

I wanted to share a source I just found for brass buckles accommodating 2-1/2 inch belts.

    http://www.coghlinandupton.com/index...dex&cPath=3_17

Here are some selections for the 2-1/2" size....

    Dragoon Buckle (with keeper)

    Dragoon Buckle (reverse view)

    Cyma Buckle, Old, 18c

    Buckle: Garrison, 18c, Plain

They aren't the cheapest I've found (cost-wise), but it's A) nice to finally find some, and B) nice to find a few styles other than the plain flat rectangle.

Now I just can't decide which one I want....

That is a very nice find indeed. The Dragoon and the Cyma both look great to me. Thanks much for sharing.

I just noticed - They ship from Canada, so that'll be $15 USD for shipping even on a $10 buckle.... (If you live in the States)

They also have some kilt hose, including diced hose with feet (not just the hose tops), and nickle plated shoe buckles for those so inclined. So do poke around!

Don't forget the exchange rate though; $1 Cdn is only $.80 USD, so that will cover a lot of the shipping right there.

Just an FYI...I've used the buckle from an old horsehair western riding cinch that was a round flat brass. Was in my tack room looking at me. A round chrome plated one would work with a black belt.
