    Another leather-work video

Not sporran-making, but reminiscent of the 1950s (?) sporran film that's become so popular here.

    Making a Dior handbag

I really want that sewing machine. . .

One of my biggest beefs with commercial leather goods these days, even high-end goods like Dior, can be seen at 1:24-1:27.

    That blasted edge paint!

It's rubbish. It is a cheap and easy way to save the steps of either doing a proper edging job or folding over and stitching (which would make for a thicker edge).
It will not stand the test of time, nor will it hold up to the elements for very long. But I suppose for a 'fashion' piece people will stop wearing it after a season or two
when it's no longer the 'it' thing.

Other than that, I loved the video.

Agreed, but even Dior probably has a price point they have to meet. Above my pay grade, but a price point, none the less. However, I'm surprised they made it part a video that otherwise shows some very skillful work.
