    Brass cantle source?

Looking for a brass cantle for a sporran project. Need not be MOD, reproduction or authentic. The simpler the better.
I'm not finding anything available online.

Have you contacted, Scott (Artificer)? He'd be the first person I would ask. Best of luck!

I don't think Scott is just doing cantles alone. I know when I was looking for one Janet Eagleton of Eaglton sporrans still had some functional round top brass sporrans. I think they were around 200 dollars.

Thanks for the shout-out, but Harold is correct. At this time I cannot supply just cantles as 'parts'.

If Eagleton doesn't have them anymore your best bet is trolling eBay, an old MoD pops up every few weeks, and they seem to have gone down a bit from their 'high tide' price a few months back.

last year I did a DIY brass cantle for my wedding sporran. I could give you the sources for materials that I used.

Thanks. I considered that option, but am not set up to do it.

Me too - been googling some brass working info and it seems like there are a number of ways one can do it without a lot of investment - if you already have some tools it's even cheaper...

How thick is the brass on most cantles? I see you can buy sheets of it in varying thicknesses but wouldn't begin to know which is good for cantles or how the measurement relates to "gauge"...
