    Exclamation Dirk help

Just picked up Vince evans how to carve a dirk handle, going to try my luck at a 18th century style dirk. I am sure this has been asked before but anyone have a good blade blank website?

Or any easy ways to make a 18th century style dirk blade?

I haven't been able to find a properly configured blade sold seperately. You could buy one of these and use the blade (or carve some knotwork on the existing hilt):

In the description on this one it says the pommel is threaded. It might be possible to remove the handle completely to make your own.

I had the Paul Chen Dirk, I did not think about shortening it and adding some carving it would have looked a lot better, that is a very large Dirk for sure!

    Thanks everyone for there replies.

That could fit any time in the early-to-mid-1700s. Brass grips were occasionally used very close to what's shown there. Even pewter.
