Just finished my first belt & sporran

FullSizeRender.jpgSo a few weeks ago I was asking around about belt width. I decided that what I wanted, a 3" ranger style belt, was tough to find and when I did it was either too expensive or not that great of quality. I got some scrap leather from a saddle maker friend. The belt was pretty easy but did not match my brown day sporran. I figured I'd have a go. It took me about 2 weeks to build it working a couple of hours a day. The lacing was the most intensive. Please take a look and tell me how I did.

    Thank you! JW

Very nice work! I like the belt style and the broguing on the sporran. Well done.

You did a wonderful job! You can be very proud of yourself and that's for sure I just ordered a new brown hunter sporran and I hope it's half as good as what you built

Thank you guys very much! I'll post some more pics when I get a minute. I lined the sporran with seeded pigskin and it has an interior pocket. I also have the lacing all around the back side. This was by far the hardest part. Took almost 8 hours to complete the round braid lacing.

    Thanks for the feedback!
