Micro fiber suede
There's a micro fiber suede sport coat on ebay that interests me. It has the features I've been looking for in jackets to be converted for wear with kilts, no vents and patch pockets. Such jackets are not common.
Has anyone worked with micro fiber suede before? If the patch pockets were removed and moved up, would the old stitching holes still show, even after cleaning and pressing, or could they be made to disappear.
Sure, this sort of jacket wouldn't qualify as THCD, but I'm not trying to pass as a Laird. Mimicry isn't my style. I like the idea of using jackets with patch pockets as the the set-in pockets on most sport coats converted to kilt wear always turnout to be too low. Patch pockets could be set at the correct height and reduced in depth to get good looking usable pockets.
