Question Sources for Cotton or polycotton tartan

    Greetings,

Not sure if this is the best place for this.. Mods can move if there is a better place.

So there is a quilting project being planned. We are looking for the following... The stitcher is in Australia. Local source would be great but I can bring with me when I go later this year if I have to source it States-side

    Any ideas?

I'd like either cotton or cotton-poly blend ( flannel or blanket plush would work, too). Width should be 45in or more. Washable. Need 2.5 yards. ( If it is not that wide, need 3.5 yd. ).
    Campbell tartan.
I would also be interested in half yard each of Cunningham (red/black) or McNeil of Barra.
Any of the above would be terrific. It is hard to find, even on line.

Thanks in advance. I know I can get PV through a few areas but I'm not sure the worsted will work for such a project.

    David

The Scottish Weaver is a great source. I've ordered many yards from them and can attest to the superlative quality of their cotton tartans:

They used to have a massive selection of cotton tartans, but seem to have only a few on hand right now. I think that they will weave what you want to order, and Campbell is definitely one of those they supply.

Cheers for that, Mike. I'll check them out. My mum is having a devil of a time locating tartan in AU

    Specific tartans hard to find

Even looking at the weavers, Cunningham and MacNeil are had to find in any but the kilt weight fabrics. (Ironic since Cunnibgham is a low-land clan and the Kilt wouldn't be too common. )

I had no idea that tartan patterns could be had in cotton/poly.

Thanks for the heads up, guys.
