Surfing around on eBay I found a guy who is selling off "Virgin Mohair Angora Goat Hair". He was selling it by the pound, so I went ahead and bought 2-3 pounds. It sounds like he has quite a bit of it left and he needs to move it before somebody's farm closes....or something. I paid $10 for two pounds which included shipping. He said that the average length was around 6". Here's the item number for the auction I won: 160728571337. Put that number in the search bar and it should pull up the ended auction. Scroll down to "Contact Seller" and shoot him an email. No guarantees on how much he has or if he's even interested in selling any more, but it's worth a shot for all you Do-It-Yourselfers. Seemed like a good price.

I corresponded with the fellow selling this goat hair and he said he has a lot more. I told him about this website and he gave me the OK to post his email and phone number. He's in Kansas, so if you're gonna call please be mindful of time differences. He seems like a really nice guy and he's selling this stuff pretty cheap. I can't vouch for the quality or condition, but it was worth a shot at that price.
