Greeks Began, Scots Enabled

A Greek and a Scot were sitting in a Starbucks in Seattle discussing who had the superior culture.

Over their triple lattes the Greek geek said, "Well we Greeks built the Parthenon" and arched his eyebrows.

The Scottish engineer replied, "Well…it was we Scots who discovered the Summer and Winter Solstices."

The Greek retorted, "Greeks gave birth to advanced mathematics."

The Scot nodded in agreement and said, "Scots were the ones who built the first timepieces and calendars."

And so it went on hour after hour until the Greek came up with what he thought would end the discussion, for sure. With a flourish of finality he said, “It was Greeks who invented sex!"

The Scotsman paused and then replied, "Aye, it may be as you claim, but it was we Scots who introduced it to the women!"
