Highland bedding
Was making a cuppa in the staff kitchen when a colleague comes over with a thoughtful look on his face.
Him: You've got a quilt haven't you?
Me: Well, yes, Several actually.
Him: Are they warm?
Me: Well, the lightweight one is good for summer, the medium weight for spring and autumn and the heavy weight for winter.
Him: Are they comfortable?
Me: Yes, much better than blankets.
Him, looking confused: You mean you wear a blanket?
I looked over at a female colleague who is shaking...
Her, in a slightly strangled voice: I think he means a 'kilt'...
I just about managed to keep a straight face, but he did go rather red.

Yes, it is a true dialogue. You just couldn't make something like this up.
I did have to go and find somewhere quiet to have a laugh. Really brightened my day.

Brilliant. That makes it even more funny. I can genuinely imagine the confusion on the other gentleman's face!

Wish they would name a race horse that!
A horse named Highland Wedding won the 1969 Grand National!

Re: Highland bedding
We wear a quilt except in the summer when it is too warm.

Good thing you don't use an electric blanket. He'd really be confused!
I've found that most relationships work best when no one wears pants.

Re: Highland bedding
That is hysterical. Sounds like a "who's on first" routine!
