Scott: When are you gonna get off that milk diet, lad?
    Chekov: This is vodka.
Scott: Where I come from, that's soda pop.
Scott: [raising his glass] Now this is a drink for a man.
    Chekov: Scotch?
    Scott: Aye.
Chekov: It was invented by a little old lady from Leningrad.

Proof once again that the Scots got around . . . even Leningrad. Those bar scenes were among Scotty's greatest moments.

In my opinion , Scots love to punish themselves and others . Its that selv depreciating sense of humour . When people are nice I always wonderwhat they are upto ???

Scotty is my favorite TOS Star Trek character (as if you couldn't tell from my avatar).

"Laddie, I was drinking Scotch a hundred years before you were born. And I can tell you that whatever this is, it is definitely not Scotch."

Thank you! I love the English language so much more than its component parts.
