Kilting Song Parodies (Inspired by McMurdo)
Strumming my pleats with her fingers
Jealous my swoosh wasn’t hers
Kilting me softly with her sarong
Kilting me softly with her sarong
Telling my first wife I’m authentic
Kilting me softly with her thong
I heard she piped a good song
I heard she had a style
And so I came to see her
To listen for a while
And there she was this young lass
Piping Auld Lang Syne
<Repeat Chorus>

You walked into the party
Like you were walkin' onto a yacht
Your kilt strategically dipped below one knee
Your kilt hose were apricot.
You wear your kilt here all the time
And when you don't, it's pants
Your underwear spied by the wife of a close friend
Wife of a close friend...

I found myself singing
Pleat pleat pleat the tartan
Pleat it on the line
Pleat pleat pleat the tartan
Make a kilt so fine
instead of
shake shake shake your body
shake your body line...

All parodies are quite good (so far.) The "Pleat Your Tartan" reminds me of...
a haon
a dó
a trí
a ceathair
Ina told Bonnie about a thing she saw
Had two big horns and a wooly jaw
Wooly Tartan, wooly tartan!
Wooly Tartan, wooly tartan, wooly tartan.
Ina told Bonnie, "Let's don't take no chance.
Let's be good scot lasses, teach the men to dance."
Wooly Tartan, wooly tartan!
Wooly Tartan, wooly tartan, wooly tartan.
Ina told Bonnie, "That's the thing to do.
Get you someone really to pull the wool with you."
Wooly Tartan, wooly tartan!
Wooly Tartan, wooly tartan, wooly tartan.
Don't wash it, don't wash it.
Sung to the tune of Wooly Bully.
A proud Great-Great Grandson of the Clan MacLellan from Kirkcudbright.

Many, many drinks ago,
when I was still a sober lad,
A pretty lassie caught me eye,
with long red hair and hazel eyes
She bought me drinks and talked me up,
She flirted with me, got me drunk,
I had to much and lost me head,
I took the lassie to me bed,
When I woke up next morning I,
realized me mistake and let out a cry,
me kilt and shirt were taken,
what a horrible way to awaken!
the last thing I remembered then,
was laying down, then I dinna ken,
She must have spiked my whiskey,
for sure I didna feel frisky,
When I awoke it was with a start,
me head it felt all blown apart,
twas then that I realized,
the room had been all vandalized,
Singing, bye, bye, my dear lassie from Skye,
you stole my kilt and you left me to die,
while I was passed out from the whiskey last night,
oh, I think I've learned my lesson this time!
Slaínte,
Robert

I love tartan wool,
so put another dime in the kilt fund, baby.
I love pleats that swish,
so come along and take a walk with me!
Scooby is in a hurry to hit the road, but he's been playing "Guitar Hero" while he waits and that's the first song on this version. Perhaps a verse or two later on.
