    There is not only a story attached to that picture but also a dance created for it. Whilst the, I think, Emperor penguin looks fascinated by the sound of the piper, you'll notice that he's alone, perhaps strangely so for such a social bird. In fact, if you look very closely you'll see that he's tied to the piper's leg to stop him joining the rest of his wee pals who weren't quite so keen on the sound!

    I was at a Highland games that was hosted by a zoo over the summer. It seems that peacocks do, too. You know that joke about pipers marching to get away from the noise? There was this grade 3 piper warming up behind my tent who was marching to get away from 2 peacocks! The followed him, and every time he played, they honked right back at him! It was such a godaweful noise... Birds do seem to like the pipes.
