Stupid neighbour!
My neighbour knocked on my door this morning at 2:30! Can you believe it? 2:30 in the morning!!!!! Lucky for him I was already up playing my bagpipes!

Silly man. I assume you had a stiff word with him and pointed out the error of his ways!

As a piper myself, I find this joke to be... VERY FUNNY!
Reminds me of one I heard a while ago, similar punchline, but took place in a hotel.
I wish I believed in reincarnation. Where's Charles Martel when you need him?

Years ago (MANY!) I remember a young freshman from Glasgow being taunted at a university for his accent.
"How many hours did you sleep last night, Frosh!"
"Seven, Sir!" (insert a soft Glaswegian Accent)
"Louder, Frosh!"
"Seven Sir!" ... and onward.
Now, imagine two university residences from which this Frosh and Sophmorfes hailed - slightly curved buildings with an eliptical space thus created between them. Imagine the door to the roof of the two-floor-shorter building wedged shut from atop the roof. Imagine a young man on a folding camp stool practising pibroch . . . ALL NIGHT LONG! and imagine the glorious echo.
How many hours do you think any of them slept that night????
I'm no piper, but I confess to an addiction so deep that I love pibroch - for hours on end! Just the glorious, wonderful sound of it!!!

That made my day better, thanks Father Bill.

...and it's a true story! I was a guest staying overnight in the shorter residence building, relishing the echoes off of the taller one! Believe it or not, I slept very soundly and peacefully and had the opportunity to shake the hand of the ginger-headed young fellow with the impish grin at breakfast the next morning. We didn't speak, but I am persuaded that he appreciated my hand and my smile.

Great story! Thanks. It's short enough I can remember it. :-)
I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.
