A rare surviving example of a Tartan that can actually be dated to the '45. One of two known surviving mounted collections from a plaid given by Prince Charles Edward Susanna, Countess of Eglinton in 1745. It is said that the Countess gave these to her daughters, of which she had eight. This one is at Duff House, the other is at the NTS Culloden centre.
